The homogenization of Parkchester continues apace. Olshan, which owns Parkchester's commercial real estate and most of the rental apartments is trying to rapidly gentrify one of the few remaining affordable, safe neighborhoods.

Zaro's Family Bakery aka Zaros Bread Basket aka Zaros located at 29 Hugh J. Grant Circle in Parkchester, Bronx, New York 10462, will be closing on December 28, 2015.

Zaro's has been serving the Parkchester Bronx community since 1959, over 55 years.
Their current lease expires on December 31, 2015 and according to Zaros, will not be renewed.
