Wow...they found some people who are thrilled to live here in Parkchester.

Myself: the Parkchester maintenance staff swears in open public without regards to the presence of young children. I personally have been threatened with assault from 1 maintenance person after which I reported it and the guy still works here.

The Parkchester Service Department is a joke at 8-4 mon-fri...so if you're a single, working person working during the day you either have to find someone to give these people access to your apartment from 8-4 (even Cablevision and Verizon give better time windows nowadays!) Or grant the service personnel permission to enter leaving your top lock unlocked all day long or take a day off work.

God forbid, your issue requires any significant work because they may need to send an inspector for the same time frame above who takes 5 minutes to write up the work order (yes, you took a whole day for this) and then you need to schedule additional days.

Another instance involved a broken window broken from the outside due to work being done on the building. The window was right on the attached next door buildings roof and easily inspectable from there. Parkchester service workers absolutely refused to do this as well so that 1 day could have been saved by inspecting and then making an appointment with me to fix it.

Bottom line: if you want better, more commonsense service and higher quality living...go elsewhere.
