The Bronx is Building

There's an affordable housing boom going on in the Bronx reports the New York Times. For example, across the South Bronx, in a mini-boom, several thousand affordable rental apartments are under construction or planned. This growth is fueled by a growing population, new government policies and relatively cheap land and, like their free-market counterparts, they're arriving with shops (see Parkchester shops) and restaurants (see Parkchester restaurants), rooftop farms and concert halls, and are taking the revival of once down-and-out areas to another level.
