Thanks for the information, I was just discussing this with my husband but we thought that if we called them, they would charge for the service call to just unscrew the screws.

I know what you mean about those windows. I bought a drill and took screens down to clean windows, but I didn't put those screens back. They were dry rot, holes and the dust was so thick. When the wind blew, the dirt came in as well. No joke when you have chronic asthma. With that said, I called service explained the problem. They looked at the screens and replaced them for me at no cost. If your screens are really bad, call them. Doesn't hurt to ask. Good luck.

All I needed was a phillips head screw driver to remove the screens. The window guards needed a special tool though, The maintenance guys removed them for me upon request.

I have cleaned the windows myself about 3 times a year and it's really not too dificult if you don't have the screens up. Why doesn't Parkchester provide window cleaning services? The windows and screens are filthy and its unsightly and I immagine can even make someone sick. I know they clean the doors every month or so but windows/screens should not be forgotten or screens should at least be changed every so often.
